What is the difference between self-hosted and hosted?add
Self-hosted means the site runs on a hosting account your association owns, and we help you get it there for a one-time $700. Hosted means we run it for you on our hosting for $400 to set up and $100 a month, which also covers bug fixes and 5 hours of support each month.
What do we need to host it ourselves?add
A hosting service that can run Docker containers, which most cloud and VPS providers can, plus an email account the site can send from. We walk you through the setup and get your site live with you.
Do we need technical skills to run the site?add
No. Pages, documents, news, events, request types, and settings are all edited through simple forms in the admin area. There is a full user manual for residents, the board, and administrators.
Does simplHOA collect dues?add
No. Dues and accounting stay with your management company. simplHOA links your homeowners to their payment portal from a "Pay dues" button.
Can we bring our existing homeowners over?add
Yes. Import your property list and homeowners from a CSV or Excel export of your old system. You review every row before anything is saved, and imported homeowners get an email invitation to set their password.
What does the monthly hosting fee include?add
Hosting your site, fixing bugs, and up to 5 hours of support each month for questions, changes, and help for your board.
